If you reside in KZN, join us on Saturday 21 August at Giba Gorge. The KZN Otter Community Run will be hosted by Trail Magazine Editor Deon Braun, a long time friend of the Otter. A lesser known fact is that Deon has completed 11 of the 12 runnings of the Otter, either racing, jogging or sweeping and for that reason is VERY well versed on the route and trail.
The concept is simple - come and join in on a social run, meet some fellow Otter trailers and pick up some new skills in the process!
It is a *FREE event, but if you are interested we ask that you secure your spot by signing up. Take note of the time and date and join us on the day. Deon will start the day with a friendly welcome, followed by some tips and skills that will help you tackle the Otter Trail. That will be followed by a relaxed, social run - that will be interrupted at times to practice newly learned skills. Finish off the morning with a complimentary cold Devil’s Peak Lite beer and/or a refreshing Sir Fruit Juice and a final opportunity to ask the Otter legend any questions you might have about the day ahead. For joining on the day you’ll also take home a tasty sample of ButtaNutt and a sample of KTTape.
And that’s not all! We will have lucky draw prizes on the day and anyone who joins will be entered into the Emperor Asset Management lucky draw that will take place after all Otter Community Run’s have been completed. The grand prize sponsored by Emperor AssetManagement is R5k in EasyEquities RA, while the lucky Draw prizes up for grabs on the actual morning are:
Giba Gorge has an amazing restaurant and facilities for the entire family, so don't rush off but stay and enjoy the warm hospitality of the restaurant and Park staff. (this part's on your own account).
*The event is FREE except for a minor Park Entry Fee as the gate of R45. Please note there are limited spaces available, as we do our best to work within COVID-19 restrictions and host a responsible morning - so booking a spot is absolutely necessary.
